A message from the artist:
“i think life is funny and beautiful. I made this digital painting over a year ago, and have always wanted to do something with it. sometimes i feel like as an artist, i won’t look back at my work because it’s in the past, or i’m constantly looking forward at what’s next that i forget to appreciate and honor everything i’ve made that’s led me to right here.
every design i created for this hoodie highlighted my new work, and for whatever reason they didn’t work out. in the past, i would get mad if my plans didn’t work out exactly like i planned. but instead i had to shift, and i didn’t have the energy to come up with anything new. this led me to scrolling through my old work in procreate, and stumbling upon this masterpiece. i was flooded with emotions, and knew this is what i wanted to share. in the end, i think it happened for a reason.
This process taught me the importance of being open to change, and honoring the steps, the skills, and the creations that shaped me today. That doesn’t just go for the artwork, but the concept of the Blueprint itself. The Blueprint universe is something that I’ll never let go of, and highlighting how its definition changes as I do brings me so much joy. And peace.
The message “Be the Blueprint” challenges norms, reinforcing the idea that there’s no right or wrong path to individuality—a core part of my new collection “Wrong Answers Only.” It’s an invitation to take control of your own narrative and design your own future.
The playful art and the Be The Blueprint message are literally tied together using tapestry material, a fabric I’ve never tried before. It was the perfect way to kick off this collection, as there are even more wrong answers on the way…”
